Biography
Dr. Kerry Redican is a Professor of Public Health in the College of Veterinary MedicinVirginiaTech. He has been a faculty member at Virginia Tech for 33 years. Dr. Redican's educationalbackground include degrees from California State University, Long Beach (B.A., Health Education); UCLA (Master of Science in Public Health, Public Health Education); University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana (Ph.D., Health Education); and University of North Carolina at Chapel-Hill (MPH, Health Administration). Dr. Redican has taught undergraduate and graduate classes in public health and health promotion. He has been actively involved in development, implementation, and evaluation of primary prevention programs in various settings including schools and communities. Dr. Redican is co-author of four textbooks (Health Today, Organization of School Health Programs, Dimensions of Consumer Health, and i-Health) and has over 70 publications in health journals.
Research Interest
His Research interest in community-based research with a specific emphasis on youth risk behaviors (YRBS) and Public Health.
